Rotherham Minster in All Saints Square dates back to the 15th century and includes parts of even older Norman and Saxon buildings. On the outskirts of the City, a brick glass-making furnace is the oldest surviving structure of its type in Europe. The remains of the 16th century College of Jesus building survive in the town centre, a Grade II listed building, the oldest surviving brick structure in South Yorkshire.

A little background on Sheffield:

Sheffield is defined by its variety of architecture. From 1950/60s council housing flats at Park Hill, to the stunning Sheffield Town Hall building (an example of Victorian Gothic revival architecture), the diversity makes Sheffield interesting to surveyors. The tallest building in Sheffield is St Paul's Tower.
